Is officially off the grid

Did you know you could safely disable your facebook account with losing it entirely? I wasn't ready to commit to deleting my fb world "forever" but this feature allows for one to temporarily disappear. I think that is just what I need. Although I care about what's going on in the lives of my 300+ "friends", I have come to the conclusion that if it's a "must know" kind of thing, I will find out another route.

So far the question that has been posed to me is "why?"

It's quite simple. Facebook has become a black hole for me. Not only have I wasted an uncountable amount of time on that site, very little of it has been beneficial or productive. Instead, it had manifested into some sort of alter reality where I was "living" too much of my life. I need to utilize that time to figure out more important things than what someone had for supper or what's happening on the current reality tv show. I want to get my life on track ....and when I do...I am sure I'll be back.

Maybe. :)

  1. Hey Barb - Daren here. I've often thought of getting OFF Facebook, as I also think it's a waste of time, etc... but I stay on, mostly to see what *stupid* things people put on there... and WOW, are there a lot!

Good luck with your Blog! See you around the soccer fields.
