Christmas

Enjoy the moments with those you love...it's what life here is all about. At church tonight, something incredible happened. My friend Deena's father-in-law came to service. For those who don't know, he has been through a lot since July, as a result of multiple strokes. After an extensive stay in Sioux Falls and most recently in Des Moines, he just came home. To see the joy in his family's eyes to have him there, was so moving and inspiring. At one point, he had to leave for a few minutes, and his wife helped him out. He turned to her and winked and she smiled ear to ear. A love like that is truly incredible and so real. For them, this will be a Christmas to really celebrate. As Ava said to me yesterday, Christmas is about Jesus AND LOVE. So true;)

For those who have lost someone this year, this is a beautiful song. My thoughts and prayers go out to Joe's family during the holidays especially with the recent loss of his grandfather. Treasure today as it's truly a gift.
